Elekta said last week that it won a $35 million tender to supply the health services of the Chinese military with radiation therapy equipment. The deal is its biggest ever with China, the Stockholm-based company's third-largest market.
The tender involves Elekta supplying the health department of the People's Liberation Army with the Leksell Gamma Knife radiosurgery system, as well as with linear accelerators and software, the company said. The PLA runs military hospitals throughout China.
Elekta said the orders would be booked once the tender terms are met.
