IONETIX Corporation plans to invest $25.75 million to expand its operations in the Lansing, Michigan area, a move expected to create 53 new jobs.

The company, which develops and distributes radiopharmaceuticals and targeted alpha therapy agents, will upgrade and expand its existing facilities to increase production capacity. Headquartered in the Lansing area, IONETIX operates a proprietary cyclotron technology platform to produce radioisotopes for imaging and therapy.

The expansion will enhance IONETIX’s ability to supply diagnostic and therapeutic radioisotopes such as Actinium-225 and Astatine-211, used in targeted cancer treatments, as well as N-13, F-18 and Ga-68 for diagnostic imaging. The investment also aims to bolster Michigan’s role in radiopharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution.
