FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corp. has opened a new 18,000-square-foot warehouse in Fairfield, New Jersey, as part of an effort to expand its endoscopy operations and increase service capacity for healthcare customers nationwide.

The Lexington, Massachusetts-based company said the facility began operations in May, which was formally marked with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 18. The warehouse is intended to support growing logistics and operational needs while freeing space at Fujifilm’s existing site in Wayne, New Jersey, which houses the company’s endoscopy service center.

According to Fujifilm, relocating warehouse functions to Fairfield will allow the Wayne service center to expand to roughly 1.5 times its current size. The company said the additional space will support growth in its technical workforce and help accommodate rising demand for service and support related to its endoscopy products.

“The opening of our new Fairfield facility represents an important milestone for our endoscopy business and reflects Fujifilm’s ongoing investment in innovation, infrastructure, and customer support,” said Tai Fujita, senior vice president, Endoscopy Division, FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corp. “From advancing service excellence to investing in our workforce and infrastructure, we are building for long-term growth.”

Fujifilm said the larger service center is expected to improve operational efficiency, increase technical support capacity and help reduce turnaround times for equipment servicing. The company provides endoscopic imaging systems, endoscopes and related devices used by gastroenterologists and other specialists.

The expansion comes as healthcare providers continue to invest in endoscopy technologies for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Fujifilm said the additional infrastructure is designed to support its growing installed base of customers and products.
