A couple from Lake Havasu City, Arizona, has been indicted on federal charges for allegedly running a fraudulent medical clinic business offering “full body scans” using an ultrasound machine modified with what they called “smart chip technology.”

They allegedly charged clients about $300 per scan, falsely claiming the technology could detect conditions such as leukemia and bowel candida. The case was investigated by the FBI and the FDA’s Office of Criminal Investigations. If convicted, the Blakleys each face up to 165 years in prison.

Mary Blakley and Fred Blakley face multiple charges, including conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, mail fraud, wire fraud, and conspiracy to violate the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, according to an indictment unsealed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

The indictment further states that the couple misrepresented the scans’ capabilities, claiming they could conduct colonoscopies, prostate exams, and electrocardiograms. Based on these supposed results, they allegedly prescribed various unapproved supplements, creams, and even veterinary products as treatments.

Additionally, prosecutors say Mary Blakley falsely claimed her “smart chip technology” could cure diseases by delivering a substance called Aetheion into the body to kill cancer, cleaning the lungs and brainstem, and removing kidney stones.
