Persona CS mobile fluoroscopy system
Fujifilm Healthcare Americas has a new compact mobile C-arm on the market, designed for surgeries in the OR.
The Persona CS mobile fluoroscopy system is expected to be useful for orthopaedic procedures, complex surgeries, pain management (anesthetics) and emergency operations.
“The rise of traumatic injuries, orthopedic issues, cancers and other diseases demands complex surgical intervention. Fortunately, today’s C-arm fluoroscopy machines are able to adapt to the needs of different types of surgeries,” said Susan Crennan, Sr. product manager of FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation, in a statement.

The solution comes with twice the power of a usual compact C-arm due to its 5kW onboard generator. This improves image quality and X-ray scans for patients of any size. Its large diameter and lightweight design make it easy for surgeons to bring the system directly to the operating table and move it around the patient. Images can be viewed with 30 cm or 21 cm cesium iodine flat panel detector options. Additionally, the all-in-one system optimizes space in crowded operating rooms, and its advanced imaging console provides high-resolution X-ray images in real time so surgeons can monitor progress in procedures.
The same time last year, Fujifilm
launched a predecessor, Persona C, which is designed for ultra-low-dose fluoroscopy and vascular imaging. iRAD, in March, inked an agreement to become a distributor for the solution to hospitals, imaging centers and clinics.
The company also recently
unveiled another solution last month, the EI-740D/S, the first FDA-cleared dual-channel endoscope for upper and lower gastrointestinal applications.
Fully integrated with Fujifilm’s ELUXEO Endoscopy System and ELUXEO Surgical System, the solution allows for a number of endotherapy devices to be used through its dual channel diameters of 3.7 mm and 3.2 mm. It can be used by the company’s ClutchCutter and FlushKnife, which provide it with capabilities that range from marking to coagulation.
