Congress canceled
The Latin American Medical Tourism and Health Congress scheduled to take place April 27-29, in Monterrey, Mexico was canceled due to the Swine Flu warnings. "The Conference was canceled before it started," says Renee-Marie Stephano, COO of the Medical Tourism Association and Editor of the Medical Tourism Magazine. "It was a terrible but necessary move to make, but we had to protect the safety of our delegates."
Also postponed was the DIA 2nd Latin American Regulatory Conference, which was scheduled for May 13-15 in Mexico City.
DIA and the MTA are monitoring the situation closely and will provide new dates as soon as information about these rescheduled conference become available.
