NYU Langone Health has opened a new ambulatory imaging and specialty care facility in Riverhead, New York, adding capacity to its growing outpatient network on Long Island’s East End.

The 25,000-square-foot site combines diagnostic imaging and multispecialty services. Approximately 13,000 square feet are dedicated to imaging, including MR, CT, X-ray, breast cancer screening, and bone density testing. The remaining space houses clinical services such as cardiology, pulmonology, orthopedics, rheumatology, vascular care, and pain management.

The Riverhead site is situated within a corporate park that includes several other NYU Langone practices, allowing patients to access multiple services in close proximity. Nearby facilities include an additional ambulatory care location, oncology services affiliated with the Perlmutter Cancer Center, neurology, and rehabilitation services.

“Suffolk County continues to be an area of growth for us, with a focus on bringing even more top-quality providers and services to the region,” said Oren Cahlon, M.D., executive vice president and vice dean for clinical affairs and strategy, chief clinical officer, at NYU Langone. “By bringing state-of-the-art radiology together with our extensive network of specialty and primary care services, we’re not only improving access, we are also ensuring that patients on the East End receive the same coordinated, high-quality care that defines NYU Langone Health across the region.”

The opening is part of a broader expansion effort in Suffolk County. Over the past year, the New York City-based health system added six outpatient practices in the area and integrated NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk in Patchogue as its seventh inpatient facility. Additional projects include a planned ambulatory surgery center in Patchogue and further expansion of the Suffolk hospital.

The Riverhead facility is integrated with NYU Langone’s electronic health record system, enabling patients to access medical records and schedule appointments across locations.
