Noritsu acquires R&F Imaging
Noritsu America Corporation has acquired R&F Imaging Systems, a sales and service company for medical imaging equipment.
The agreement is poised to provide Noritsu with expertise and knowledge specific to the medical imaging market, while expanding the operations of the Atlanta-based R&F from a regional to nationwide scale.
"We have multiple technicians in high population areas. We have internal quality control processes and training programs so customers can expect consistency from call to call and from coast to coast. Because we are a manufacturer, we understand the need for and use of data collection to help large customers understand trends and anomalies in their capital equipment," Patrick Todd, vice president of business innovations at Noritsu, told HCB News. "Noritsu and R&F can provide a single service agreement to multi-site caregivers and medical imaging providers so that the level of service is efficient, consistent, and easy to manage."
In business since 1984, R&F offers a full line of X-ray sales and services throughout the greater Atlanta area of Georgia, and brings to Noritsu experienced medical imaging technicians, certifications and manufacturer relationships, and industry connections, as well as a desire to expand geographically.
In return, the industrial photographic imaging equipment provider of 47 years offers R&F personnel a national footprint made from experience working with clientele of all sizes, from independently owned shops to large national chains. Its aim is to combine R&F's technical experience and connections with its service processes and experience in rolling out, removing and upgrading large equipment to provide greater service to customers.
"Our goal is to take the burden of equipment service and maintenance off of our customers' plates so they can focus on their core business," said Todd. "R&F has 35 years in the medical imaging industry and a successful business model. Expanding this model with Noritsu's resources allows Noritsu to quickly expand to other geographic areas to fulfill the need in the industry for a national service provider."
Rex Fortenberry, founder, vice president, and general manager of R&F Imaging Systems, says joining Noritsu enables R&F employees to not just attract new customers, but provide greater support than before to its current clientele.
“The employees of the business support the sale, and are positive about the future under this management. Our office will remain in Atlanta, centered among our customers, where we will continue to lead this dedicated and talented team under our new name, Noritsu," he said in a letter informing R&F customers of the transaction. "It is business as usual, only now we have new resources and capabilities to continue driving value for you and similar businesses.”
