There are several conditions that can cause CT image/ring artifacts. More often than not, artifacts are indicative of a DAS (Data Acquisition System) malfunction, not a problem with the tube. One quick and easy solution is to check the tube alignment. Beam cut-off or lower tube output occurs when a tube is out of specification. Refer to the OEM guidelines for proper tube installation and follow the alignment procedures.
