Billed as the "world's first all encompassing event for investing, planning, designing, building, operating, managing and refurbishing healthcare facilities, institutes and organizations," the Hospital Build Middle East Exhibition and Congress 2009 (HBMEC), promises multiple tracks of interest to industry professionals. The Dubai International Exhibition Centre will host the HBMEC, June 14-16.

Connecting Investors With Builders
The event connects those interested in major healthcare building projects with suppliers and building services professionals. The health sector in the Middle East is shifting forward and continuing to invest in its medical infrastructure. Currently more than 100 hospitals are being planned to answer increased demand from a population needing better healthcare. The region, according to McKinsey and Company, a consulting company, shows a projected increase in demand for hospital beds from 80 to 160 percent.
