GE HealthCare is expanding its AI portfolio in women’s health through a collaboration with Diagnoly to integrate the company’s Fetoly software into Voluson ultrasound systems.
The agreement centers on embedding Fetoly, an AI-based fetal ultrasound application, into GE HealthCare’s Voluson platform, which is used for obstetric and gynecologic imaging. GE HealthCare is based in Chicago, while Diagnoly is a prenatal imaging software company focused on AI-driven screening tools. The companies said the collaboration is intended to support more standardized fetal ultrasound examinations, particularly for cardiac and brain assessments.
Ultrasound remains a cornerstone of prenatal care, but image quality and exam consistency can be affected by factors such as fetal movement, maternal body habitus, and operator experience. AI-based tools are increasingly being positioned as a way to assist clinicians by automating parts of the workflow and supporting image interpretation, rather than replacing clinical judgment.

Fetoly is designed to analyze fetal heart and brain anatomy in real time during an ultrasound exam. According to the companies, the software aligns with guidelines from the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology and provides feedback on exam completeness and image quality as scans are being performed. The goal is to help reduce variability between exams and support earlier detection of potential abnormalities.
The software has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance and CE marking, allowing it to be marketed in the U.S. and Europe. Fetoly is being distributed through the Voluson Solution Store, which GE HealthCare describes as a digital marketplace for women’s health ultrasound applications. The companies said Fetoly is available as a free trial through the platform.
GE HealthCare and Diagnoly plan to showcase the integrated solution at the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine Pregnancy Meeting, scheduled for Feb. 8–13 in Las Vegas. The collaboration adds to a growing number of partnerships between imaging vendors and software developers aimed at incorporating AI tools directly into clinical imaging systems.
