Siemens Healthineers at RSNA 2024
Siemens Healthineers has formally rebranded its PET radiopharmaceutical businesses, PETNET Solutions and Advanced Accelerator Applications (AdAcAp) Molecular Imaging, under the Siemens Healthineers name.
The change, effective immediately, marks the integration of the company’s global radiopharma operations into a single business segment.
The Malvern, Pennsylvania-based company said the transition is expected to be completed within the next year.

The move follows Siemens Healthineers’ acquisition of AdAcAp from Novartis in December 2024, expanding its presence in Europe. AdAcAp added 13 production facilities across France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Germany to the PETNET network, which already included 47 PET radiopharmacies in the U.S.
Together, the combined network now operates 60 sites across nine countries, manufacturing over 100,000 batches of sterile PET radiopharmaceuticals annually. These agents are used in imaging for oncology, cardiology, neurology, and theranostics.
“Siemens Healthineers companies PETNET Solutions and Advanced Accelerator Applications have served as cornerstones of our radiopharma business,” said Barry Scott, head of the Radiopharma business at Siemens Healthineers. “Given current market dynamics and the momentum in the radiopharmaceutical industry, the time is right to unify under the brand Siemens Healthineers. This strategic move unites our people, products, and purpose to deliver even greater value to customers and patients as well as accelerate innovation.”
The Radiopharma segment’s offerings include common PET imaging agents such as FDG, as well as contract manufacturing of proprietary agents like POSLUMA, a PSMA-targeted tracer developed by Blue Earth Diagnostics. PETNET also produces diagnostic compounds used in Alzheimer's, cancer, and cardiac imaging.
