CEDAR PARK, Texas — November 26, 2024 — ETS-Lindgren will showcase innovative RF Shielding Products and Services for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) applications at the 110th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) held from December 1 to 5 at McCormick Place in Chicago. As the world’s largest medical imaging conference, RSNA 2024 also provides extensive Technical Exhibits dedicated to the latest MRI and related technologies. “We are excited to be exhibiting at RSNA,” said Tara Kellogg, ETS-Lindgren's Director of Business Development for Healthcare, Industry, and Government. “This event provides a great forum for radiologists and industry experts to discuss the latest advances in medical imaging technologies.”
During the Exhibition — held from December 1 to 4 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm CST each day — visitors to ETS-Lindgren’s Exhibit Booth 3236 will see examples of the latest RF Shielding Solutions for facilities that house one of medicine’s most powerful diagnostic tools — MRI scanners. “For decades we have worked with the medical imaging community to provide products and services to support not only the MRI scanner, but also the imaging staff and their patients,” said Ms. Kellogg. “These advanced MRI scanners require superior RF shielding to ensure they achieve peak performance and provide high-quality images for radiologists and their patients. We appreciate the opportunity to discuss state-of-art products and services with the imaging professionals at RSNA 2024.” ETS-Lindgren’s innovative products on display at RSNA 2024 include the EVO™ Series of MRI RF Shielded Doors and MRI Patient Scanner, designed with patient safety in mind; as well as novel accessories such as a Magnetic Active Compensation System and a shielding cutaway that will feature ClearShield™ S-Glass, Med-Vizion™ ZXR LED Down Lighting, Med-Vizion Graphic Display Panel, Medical Filters, Waveguide Feed-Throughs, and Waveguide Air Vents to provide visitors more insight into the shielding system.
The EVO Series of MRI RF Shielded Doors are designed to provide reliable, low-maintenance service for use in rigorous MRI environments. To facilitate access into and out of the MRI suite, this manual door is equipped with an easy-open, lever-style handle with minimal force required for operation. Customers who are frustrated from trying to open and close their cumbersome MRI doors are relieved by the low-friction, aesthetically pleasing EVO door. With its low-profile, ADA-compliant threshold, the door facilitates effortless patient gurney transfers and easy cleaning, aspects that are especially useful for surgical applications. But perhaps the most important feature of the EVO door is its acoustic performance, with sound transmission class (STC) rating choices of 28, 34, 40, and 44 (49 dB of sound reduction at frequencies of concern). These ratings ensure a quieter, calmer environment near the MRI suite for staff and patients. Visitors to ETS-Lindgren’s booth can interact with a model of the door to experience its ease of operation and exceptional modern design.
