Hologic will introduce two new products at the upcoming RSNA meeting, a novel mammography platform and an upgrade to existing image analysis software.

The Envision Mammography Platform offers a 2.5-second 3D mammogram scan, designed to enhance patient comfort with adaptive positioning technology. It is the first FDA-approved system of its kind, aiming to improve image clarity and detect subtle anomalies more effectively.

Genius AI Detection PRO, an upgrade to its existing cancer screening technology, uses deep learning algorithms to analyze 2D and 3D mammograms while incorporating prior imaging for enhanced accuracy. Features include lesion scoring, detailed exam reports, and integrated breast density assessments to streamline workflows for radiologists.

“Our team is excited to demonstrate how we’re advancing solutions across the breast health continuum,” said Erik Anderson, president of breast and skeletal health solutions at Hologic. “We’re focused on improving the patient experience while supporting providers with cutting-edge technology.”

In addition to the product unveilings, the Marlborough, Massachusetts-based women's health leader will present findings from a study of its Genius AI Detection 2.0 software, which analyzed over 7,500 3D mammograms across diverse racial groups. Researchers found consistent algorithm performance, addressing concerns about racial bias in AI applications.

The company will also showcase its newly acquired Endomag solutions for wireless breast surgery localization and lymphatic mapping.
