Today I am joined by Terry Douglass, executive chairman of Tennessee-based Provision Healthcare. Provision owns ProNova Solutions, which is a proton therapy company that Terry founded.
Terry's story is fascinating on a professional and personal level. He served as president and CEO of CTI Molecular Imaging from its formation in 1983 until 2003, and was chairman of the board when it was sold to Siemens in 2005 at a market capitalization of $1 billion. During that time, Terry played an integral role in the development and commercialization of positron emission tomography (PET), including PET cyclotron technology that now plays a significant role in proton therapy.
But that's not what he's here to discuss today. In our interview, Terry and I talk about his personal journey with prostate cancer, and his first-person appreciation for the tremendous potential that Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA) imaging and therapy holds for improving prostate cancer outcomes globally.
Phil Jacobus has been involved in health care since 1977, when he visited China to sell equipment. He has done business in 35 countries and still travels extensively. Phil is active in charity, helps rural clinics and always tries to help DOTmed users when he can.
Phil is a member of AHRA, HFMA, AAMI and the Cryogenic Society of America. He has contributed to a number of magazines and journals and has addressed trade groups.
Phil's proudest achievement is that he has been happily married to his wife Barbara since 1989, who helped him found DOTmed in 1998.
