Bayer announced a collaboration with Alara Imaging during the annual AHRA conference in Orlando, Florida to integrate Alara's software with Bayer’s Calantic Digital Solution Platform to support compliance with new Hospital Quality Reporting electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs).
Alara facilitates secure data transfer from EHR, RIS, and PACS for CMS quality measure calculations and reporting, ensuring health systems meet new patient safety standards.
Radiation doses from CT scans vary significantly across different patients and hospitals. Excessive radiation doses pose a modifiable health risk, which can be mitigated through proper monitoring and feedback. CMS has established standardized methods to monitor diagnostic CT performance, aiming to reduce unnecessary radiation exposure. These measures involve eCQMs that utilize Alara's software to extract and analyze data from radiology EHRs.
