Fujifilm Healthcare Americas Corporation has introduced an open bore 0.4T MR system called APERTO Lucent, which features a single-pillar design, and utilizes a wide, laterally moving table and open architecture to improve patient comfort during exams.
“APERTO Lucent is a perfect solution for providers looking for a space-saving, cost-effective system that enhances the MR patient experience,” said Shawn Etheridge, executive director of modality solutions marketing at Fujifilm Healthcare Americas Corporation. “With permanent magnet open MR technology, there is little need for additional equipment and infrastructure to maintain the magnetic field, keeping installation and operating costs low for our customers and providing a stronger return on investment.”
The new system integrates RADAR motion compensating pulse sequence technology to mitigate the need for rescans and minimize image artifacts. This technology is applicable to various scans, including head, extremities, shoulder, and cervical spine, where patient motion can be a significant challenge.

The system's spatial resolution and high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) are supported by sensitive solenoid technology RF receiver coils and Fujifilm’s IP-Recon iterative reconstruction algorithm. The algorithm uses a wavelet transform approach to reduce image noise, ensuring high-quality images even under demanding resolution requirements.
The APERTO Lucent offers a balance of advanced technology and patient-focused design, positioning it as a competitive option in the diagnostic imaging market.

FDA-cleared 128-slice CT system.
