Stamford, CT - FUJIFILM Medical Systems USA, Inc. announced that Novation LLC, the health care contracting services company of VHA Inc. and the University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC), has renewed its contract with Fujifilm for its SynapseO PACS (Picture and Archiving Communication System). Effective May 1, 2007, through April 30, 2010-with two one-year extension options-the contract will ensure that Novation's alliance members have access to savings on Fujifilm's leading PACS technology.
"Fujifilm continues to enhance its Web based Synapse PACS technology to meet the continually evolving imaging needs of our alliance members," stated David Starr, Portfolio Executive at Novation. "We're pleased to continue the agreement with Fujifilm, as this contract allows us to offer alliance members savings on Fujifilm's system for managing, storing and distributing images and information, as well as its complete line of digital imaging products."
In addition to this PACS contract, Fujifilm has agreements with Novation to provide the company's CR and DR digital x-ray systems, and film and imager products.
