Steve Yetter does well by doing good. The DOTmed Certified owner of Global 21 is an international reseller of new, pre-owned and reconditioned medical equipment including installation, removal, crating, and shipping.

Its lab and medical equipment -- everything from centrifuges to radiation simulators, MRIs, CTs, Yetter said. I dont really specialize in anything. I havent really done it long enough to pick a specialty and I dont know that I ever will.

Yetter buys mostly from hospitals and sells on DOTmed and other sites. He uses third-party refurbishers when needed. Customers include a range of buyers like hospitals, universities, and institutes in the U.S. and overseas.

Another sideline is his charitable work. Right now, hes bringing better medical resources to a clinic at a small village in the Honduras rain forest. That originated when I got into this business. One of my passions is missionary work and so I take a portion of my proceeds and use it for that.

No surprise that Yetter is a man of his word and became DOTmed Certified, demonstrating a level of reliability that sets him apart. Its just integrity. I try to specify what condition an item is in as accurately as possible, whether its been reconditioned or just tested.

DOTmed has proved a valuable partner in his business. Ten years ago this wouldnt have been possible but now the Internet, e-mail, and companies like DOTmed give you a forum to advertise and buy and sell and meet people.Everybody at DOTmed has been helpful and so has everybody I have contacted through DOTmed.

You never know what equipment will become available, Yetter added. I am just looking for good equipment that I can buy at a fair price and resell at a fair price and help everybody out. Seems like I am finding a lot of places cant afford brand new equipment so theyre looking for quality used equipment.
