Designed to speed cardiovascular workflow and help enhance patient care, Xcelera 2.1 provides clinicians with access to relevant images and information on patients across the hospital from a single workspace. The new design of results management and availability of new and enhanced clinical tools help cardiac professionals to more efficiently diagnose a patients condition and subsequently make more informed decisions about the method of treatment.

At TCT 2006, Philips showcased its integrated cath lab solution, which presents tight connection between Philips advanced cardiovascular X-ray, physiomonitoring, reporting and cardiovascular information management systems. Cardiologists, clinicians and administrators can benefit from the integrated cath labs streamlined data, easy access to precise relevant images and information, and exceptional diagnostic and therapeutic imaging tools. Another advantage of the integrated cath lab is the simplicity of one comprehensive solution delivered, developed and supported by one company.
The Philips integrated cath lab features diagnostic and therapeutic interventional systems like the Allura Xper Flat Detector (FD) family of X-ray systems, which provide multimodality image integration. Designed to optimize cath lab efficiency, Xper allows physicians to view 2D, 3D and fluoroscopy alongside MR, CT, ultrasound and hemodynamic data.
Customizable for a variety of applications and available in several configurations, Philips Allura Xper FD20 and FD10 monoplane and the FD10/10 biplane systems allow interventional cardiologists to optimize the system to fit their practice. Tools such as Allura 3D-CA, which provides an instant accurate 3D model of the coronary arteries, deliver crucial insights for complex interventional procedures, while Philips unique StentBoost tool improves stent deployment visibility.
The Series IV physiomonitoring and information system, which was added to the Philips product portfolio through the recent acquisition of Witt Biomedical, is the second component of the integrated cath lab. This Philips solution provides comprehensive, accurate hemodynamic monitoring and analysis. It also features customizable electronic charting and robust transcription, clinical and statistical reporting. The system simplifies workflow and transforms data into accurate, useful and accessible information so physicians and clinicians can focus on patients. In 2005, this technology was named Best in KLAS for Cardiology Reporting & Documenting and the KLAS Specialty Niche Category Leader for Cardiology Hemodynamics.[1]
