Course Description

The Seventh Annual Cardiovascular Update is designed to provide new and important information regarding cardiovascular disease to the nurse and primary care physician. This year the conference will have an emphasis on the evaluation and management of non-ST segment elevated acute myocardial infarction and unstable angina, primary and secondary prevention of coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure and common atrial athrythmias. This conference will also discuss advances in cardiovascular imaging including cardiac MRI and cardiac CT angiography. As in years past, instruction on the basics of ECG reading and lifestyle modification will also be provided. Unique to this conference is the significant amount of time dedicated to case studies and interactive audience discussion. New this year is a didactic dinner conference Thursday evening that will act as a primer on general ECG reading and cardiovascular pharmacology.
