Aurora, Illinois - When a problem arises with your CT system, it is imperative to determine the true root cause before replacing the tube or other components. In some cases, it may be difficult to distinguish a tube issue from a detector issue.

The best way to avoid unnecessary time and expense is to use the proper tools. When determining if the tube or detector is the problem, one recommendation is to run a Helical scan, then an Axial scan. This will assist in mapping the correct DAS board that is malfunctioning.
