por Brendon Nafziger, DOTmed News Associate Editor | May 19, 2011
An Ohio ultrasound technician was sentenced to eight years in prison for secretly filming patients while they undressed, according to newspaper reports.

His victims included young children and seniors, the Sandusky Register said.

Seneca County Common Pleas Judge Michael Kelbley passed the sentence Friday, following a two-day trial in March.

Jaime Aguirre, 44, of Willard, Ohio, was convicted on 12 counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material, the Toledo Blade said.

Aguirre will also serve six months for 59 counts of voyeurism for the photographs that involved adults. He pleaded no contest to those charges last year.

Aguirre can apply for early release in five years, but will be forced to register as a sex offender for decades, the newspaper said.

According to reports, Aguirre's cache of illicit pornography was found during a "routine traffic stop" in October 2009, when an officer found memory cards containing 200 pictures and videos.

According to the press, police said Aguirre used a small wireless camera to take still pictures and video of patients as they undressed. He was fired from Advanced Medical Imaging in Tiffin, the imaging center he worked for, after his arrest, according to the Blade.

Standard procedure in our airports

This is sad that this is going on every day in our airports with young children electronically and officially. Perhaps the same outcome should apply to airport body inspectors?
