Belgian developer of cyclotrons and radiopharmaceuticals Ion Beam Applications S.A. said Tuesday it bought a quarter stake in German provider of PET radiopharmaceuticals, PET Net GmbH.
Under the agreement, Louvain-la-Neuve-based IBA bought 25.2 percent of PET Net from its owner, Medical Imaging Research Holding BmbH. PET NET runs two profitable facilities in Erlangen and Regensburg, IBA said. Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
IBA said it had Europe's biggest distribution network for PET radiopharmaceuticals. The company has 57 facilities around the world and delivers products to 60 countries, including the United States and India.
