A well known Ohio Hospital had two EECP machines that were taking up valuable space inside their facility. The machines worked well but had not been used since 2007.
The hospital did not know what to do with the large machines but also knew they were too valuable to be junked. After speaking with a member of the DOTmed Auction Team, who explained the Auction process, they decided to run both EECP Machines in an Online Full-Service Managed Auction.

The first auction cycle passed with no bids even close to the range the seller was hoping for. They were a bit disappointed and even considered lowering their price expectation to a level that would help guarantee a quick sale.
The Auction manager spoke with the client and convinced them to hold the price. During the second cycle, the DOTmed auction team redoubled their efforts, marketing the machines to interested parties through both email and phone conversation. The massive web presence and global reach of DOTmed did the rest.
By the end of bidding, the EECPs had sold for $15,000 apiece. This amount was far higher than the Seller had anticipated.
