The date/time readout works fine once we set it manually, but when we shut down and restart the unit, it does not update. If we leave the system on it works fine. We have replaced the clock battery but it did not fix it. Anyone have any ideas?
I had the same issue I had to remove the CMOS battery then install a jumper on W8 pins 1 and 2 left jumper in for 1 minute then removed installed battery again reset time and date and the clock started to work again.
Lenny - thanks, we had already tried something similar and and it didn't work. When you say above "then removed installed battery again" did you mean the CMOS battery or the external battery? Also, I don't know if I ever followed up with you on our Philips x-ray problem we had back in Dec - it ended up that Varian mistakenly switched the anode cathode labels on the tube and no one was able to identify the problem including two Philips techs. yes the CMOS battery. Thank you for the update on the Philips that is something to keep in mind I would never of thought about the Anode Cathode labels being swapped
