you probably have a lithium battery and the set up is lost. go to this link for the manual

you can download service manual from frankshospitalworkshop as suggested by Lenny Place. u refer troubleshooting section page 4-12. there is 3 steps to verify Setup Lost. most likely is lithium battery, u can change it can restore all setup parameter and see whether Setup Lost is gone. if it happen after change lithium battery then u might have to replace the control board.

HP Codemaster- Set Up lost ???

I have a HP cpdemaster with the following error.
"Set Up Lost" manual says call for service.
Is there any easy remedy or is it toast?
It seems to work fine inspite of it.
Any suggestion??
