I having trouble with an AGFA DRYSTAR 5500, i installed the software and it was ok, the problem exists when the printer is doing the self-test and stops in 98% and not starts, i watch all the test in the hyperterminal and not shows error, could be the memory ram or something like that?
Update the software first, this will do a format on the hard drive.
AGFA no longer supples the SCSI drives but updates the drives to a SATA drive which requires a SATA adapter card from AGFA. Software will need to be updated with the replacement drive.
I would still update the software to the latest version, I believe 6.3.0_C1 will work on your system.
After update you will need to do a film cal as well as an MDM call.
You may have to reload the printer profiles so the modalities sending to the printer knows what output tray and film size to use.

Please can anybody help me with the Agfa Drystar 5500. I am also having trouble with ERROR SYSTEM FAILURE. I have never used this system before, we bough it recently with unknown condition. It has 4 floppy disks, one of them was written software 4.0, but none of them worked when we insert and put on the system. I need help with latest software this machine can use, i also want to know how to do a software update without using floppy disk as i am not sure if one can get 15 floppy disks to purchase these days.

If it's stopping at 96-98% you probably have a bad hard drive replace the drive and reload software

Drystar 5500 is the DICOM printer not a usual printer like hp and another one

Computer collects pictures from Sonography machine, Computer is havine ScanDoc program and from ScanDoc I need to print the film on Drystar 5500.
