The original computer that came with this machine has recently failed and I have the original software disks that came with the computer. The software is far outdated as it's the Win XP version but I have another XP pc that I am trying to use for this purpose. I can install the software on the "new" pc but cannot get it to recognize the scanner (the scanner is connected to pc via serial port). I dont have any instruction on how to properly install this so any guidance would be appreciated. All i am doing is connecting the scanner to the pc and installing the software and apparently Im missing something. Also if anyone could suggest another program or updated program that i should be using (besides paying 10k to a technician to drive across the country and install it) it would greatly appreciated.
