My day at RSNA 2021: Sunday

This week I am taking Five Minutes in Healthcare on the road with me, as I join the radiology community at the annual RSNA meeting at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Obviously, this is a year unlike any other. For that reason, I wanted to capture the occasion on video. This also allows me to share some of the sights and sounds of the show with people who were unable to attend in person.

Here is my video recapping Sunday, 11/28. You will see that I spoke to Tom Spees with Block Imaging, Hamish Dunn, Angel Urquijo and Nirvikar Yadav from Everx, and Mike Machuca from Medical Outfitters.

There were other interviews I conducted, including one with Michael Friebe and another with Michal Piglas and Pawel Weber from JMP Medical. Unfortunately, the audio from those conversations did not come across in the recording so I could not include them in the recap.

Phil Jacobus has been involved in health care since 1977, when he visited China to sell equipment. He has done business in 35 countries and still travels extensively. Phil is active in charity, helps rural clinics and always tries to help DOTmed users when he can.

Phil is a member of AHRA, HFMA, AAMI and the Cryogenic Society of America. He has contributed to a number of magazines and journals and has addressed trade groups.

Phil's proudest achievement is that he has been happily married to his wife Barbara since 1989, who helped him found DOTmed in 1998.
