The ASTRO issue and my visit to ASTRO

by Philip F. Jacobus, CEO | September 03, 2014
Our September issue of DOTmed HealthCare Business News provides our annual preview of ASTRO. We have a Q&A with ASTRO president, Dr. Bruce Haffty, along with booth previews and some topics that any ASTRO attendee should find interesting.

But our ASTRO coverage doesn't stop there.
I will be attending ASTRO and plan to attend Dr. Haffty's presidential address. I will also be visiting some exhibitors to learn what new developments they have in store and may have a chance to get to some other presentations.

The September issue will also be distributed at ASTRO, so if you did not get a copy yet, I encourage you to pick one up. I can tell you it will keep you entertained and informed on your flight back from the show.

The issue also has articles about CT, radiation oncology and proton therapy. It also has an article detailing the process of manufacturing X-ray and CT tubes. I personally found it fascinating how much goes into tube manufacturing.

Our news staff will also keep an eye out for any big news from the show and we will be covering the news online throughout the show so I think it is an exciting time for the association and I am looking forward to this year's show.
