HCB News: For imaging stakeholders who may not be familiar, why should they consider joining the AHRA?
MP: If you are an Imaging leader or thinking of eventually becoming an Imaging leader then I would say that AHRA is a no-brainer. Access to so much material to support any issue you may be faced with. The most important though is that if you put yourself out there you will gain a vast network of colleagues and friends to support you in a difficult role. Do not try to do this alone, join the AHRA and learn, grow, and network to gain the skills, knowledge, and support you need to be your best.
HCB News: Can you tell us more about what attendees can expect at the annual AHRA meeting in Las Vegas?

MP: The annual meeting in Vegas is shaping up to be another epic event. You will get access to workshops, keynote speakers, symposiums, keynote speakers, and tons of social events. It is the premier gathering place of the best and brightest in the Imaging world all right there and eager to meet you and learn from you as well.
We will also be joined by over 135 exhibitors that will get you updated on all of the products and services out there in our exhibit hall. I know that you will walk away energized and full of new information and new friends.
HCB News: Are there any sessions or presentations that you're particularly excited about?
MP: I am really excited for the keynote speakers which are always excellent. Alex Sheen shares his insights and actionable ways to become better at fulfilling commitments. Alex inspires others to become more accountable to their promises through compelling and real-life examples from the “because I said I would” movement.
Jeremy Poincenot is an extraordinary figure, not just as a renowned keynote speaker but also as a world champion in blind golf. Jeremy’s speaking topics often revolve around turning trauma into triumph, the power of interdependence, and seeing challenges as opportunities for growth.
There is also a negotiation workshop led by Dr. Joshua Weiss, PhD, from the Harvard Negotiation Project. I was honored to do a podcast with Dr. Weiss and I learned so much just in that hour conversation that I know the workshop is really going to give people some valuable tools.
The great thing about AHRA is that there are so many sessions that whatever your need is chances are there will be a breakout session to address it. You will not find this variety and this quality at any other conference.
