DOTmed is offering suggestions for those impacted by Katrina. We hope these will be useful if you want to help or if you know someone in need of help.
How can you help? In our weekly News we offered a partial list of places to donate money. These websites are listed again below.
If any of you tell us about more resources we will update this page.
In addition to donating money please tell us about hospitals, clinics, dealers and service engineers in need. We will get the word out through our News and Forums.
If you learn about someone here or elsewhere who you know was impacted pick up the phone and call that person and offer assistance. Don't wait to be asked.
Do you have spare parts that they may need? A place to stay, can you loan your backup test equipment or send them on a repair job or a deinstall/reinstall?
Perhaps you could give better payment terms, pay your invoice a little faster or even make a short term loan?
If you don't know anyone but you'd like to help, let us know how. We will post it here. If your resources are limited we can post it anonymously and remove the post when you've reached your limit.
Please let us know if you are affected or if you know of anyone who was. We will get the word out. Please at this time of need let's stick together and help each other out.
Email your suggestions, comments, etc. to charity@dotmed.com.
