Five Minutes in Healthcare is where I discuss current events with some of the industry's most influential leaders, as well as innovative thinkers who are working to meet the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic.

Over the last week I have had the pleasure of speaking to Enrico Perez, Cameron Deemer, John D'Amore, Brian Yarnell and Cindy Jordan.

In the following installment, I check in with Enrico Perez, administrative director of NYU Langone Long Island, who has worked for 45 years in diagnostic imaging. We talk about some of the old days in medical imaging and how the technology has advanced over the decades.

In the following installment, I check in with Cameron Deemer, president of DrFirst, about the triangle of care that exists between physicians, pharmacies and patients, and the role of technology in medication management. We also discuss the growing need for interoperability.

In the following installment, I check in with John D'Amore, president of Diameter Health, about his long term efforts to make healthcare data more actionable. We talk about the importance of interoperability and the different contexts for thinking about interoperability.

In the following installment, I check in with Brian Yarnell, president and cofounder of Bluestream Health, about virtual health and the importance of simplifying the connections between patients and doctors.

In the following installment, I check in with Cindy Jordan, the CEO of Pyx Health, a start-up offering a patient-facing app for combating loneliness and social isolation. We discuss how she came up with the idea for Pyx Health, how it finds and supports people with its app, and serving the most vulnerable people affected by loneliness and self-isolation.

Pyx Health recently issued a white paper on addressing whole-person needs, and the work it did with Banner University Health Plans. I encourage you to read it, if you wish to learn more.

We hope you enjoy the videos. Please tell us what you think, and let us know who you would like to see interviewed next!
