Radiology Partners acquires
Specialists in Medical Imaging
Radiology Partners (RP) has acquired Specialists in Medical Imaging (Peoria) in a partnership agreement that furthers its expansion in Illinois.
Through that acquisition as well as other new sites added in Texas, New Mexico, Michigan and South Carolina, the California-based practice is adding 30 locations to its client portfolio and catering to the needs of 450 hospitals, clinics and imaging centers across 13 states.
“We’re excited to welcome these new physicians to our practice and look forward to working together to build upon their history of delivering high quality radiology services in their local markets,” said Rich Whitney, chairman and CEO of Radiology Partners, said in a statement. “Our physician leaders and support teams are grateful for the opportunity to demonstrate to our new clients the value that our focused single-specialty practice brings to their imaging service lines, as well as to their health system overall.”
Specialists in Medical Imaging will retain its local leadership and have access to the national capabilities of RP to support its clients, including technology, revenue cycle management and evidence-based clinical best practice.
RP recently
acquired Southwest Diagnostic Imaging in September and
announced in July that it had added 70 new sites to its practice across Ohio, Eastern Iowa and Texas.
