Ion Beam Applications S.A. will supply the cyclotron and treatment rooms for Tennessee's first-ever proton therapy center.
Provision Healthcare LLC, which is developing the $70 million center, said it signed a deal with IBA to supply a cyclotron, two gantry rooms, one fixed-beam room and long-term service for the equipment.
The center, to be located on Provision's campus in Knoxville, will start treating patients in early 2014, the companies said.
