Unisyn Medical Technologies Inc. has made cryogenic sales and services firm Cool Pair Plus its exclusive supplier of MRI magnet and cooling services under a new, multi-year deal, the companies said Wednesday.
"Cool Pair Plus has been our supplier of choice for quite some time now, and this agreement further expands our positive working relationship,"
Chris Cone, president of Unisyn's Clinical Services Group, said in a statement.
Herminie, Penn.-based Cool Pair Plus, founded in 1995, services MRI magnets and provides cryogenic support for both medical and non-medical equipment. It opened a 15,000-square-foot office in Algonquin, Ill. earlier this year.

Unisyn, headquartered in Golden, Colo., is one of the largest third-party imaging service companies in the country. It's owned by private equity firm Galen Partners, based in Stamford, Conn., and
was born in 2009 by rolling up Barrington Medical Imaging, Sonora Medical Systems and Echoserve.
In a statement,
David Baldwin, Cool Pair Plus' vice president, said the deal was what he envisioned
when he joined the company last year.
"We are very proud to have this group on our résumé," he said.
