HIMSS to Present Informative Webinar: Understanding and Rating EMR Usability
July 13, 2009
More medical facilities and practices are attempting the switch over to Electronic Medical Record systems. Still, there seems to be hesitation or lag in the user adoption rates.
In order to make the switch over successful, the usability rate has to improve because, otherwise, simply adding more features, providing financial incentives and issuing mandates will not succeed.
Those considering the purchase of an EMR product should keep in mind that once a purchaser or user is allowed the flexibility and organization these systems bring, innovation and competition will dramatically increase. Understanding what is available and EMR usability is rating is key.
The HIMSS Webinar will give potential purchasers and users the education they need on how to rate and understand EMR usability.
