Fort Lauderdale, Florida (October 28, 2024) – Maggy Perez-Dickens, MBA, CMPE, has been named President of Holy Cross Medical Group and will also serve on the Holy Cross Health Senior Leadership Team.

As President of the Holy Cross Medical Group, Perez-Dickens will lead the multi-specialty physician employed group of more than 185 physicians and 85 APPs providing services throughout Broward County. In this capacity, she will have oversight for all matters related to overall medical group performance, inclusive of operational, clinical, and financial metrics, and will enhance a culture that promotes the highest quality of care across all sites. She’ll be responsible for strategy development for ambulatory care, including the development of distributed, non-hospital-based sites of care such as ambulatory surgical centers, imaging and lab services, and outpatient infusion centers.

Perez-Dickens brings proven experience and an outstanding reputation in clinical operations, practice management, financial performance, strategy, revenue cycle, IT solutions, contract negotiations and physician relations.

Most recently, Perez-Dickens served as Senior Administrative Officer at the University of Miami in the Department of Neurological Surgery and Department of Psychiatry & the Behavioral Sciences, overseeing operations of a $70 million budget overseeing the group practices that consisted of 100 providers that performed over 55,000 outpatient visits and 5,700 surgeries across six hospitals and four different health systems. Her previous leadership positions include Vice Chair of Administration in the Department of Neurological Surgery at University of Miami; Transplant Administrator at Miami Transplant Institute (MTI) at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital; and Administrator at DeWitt Daughtry Department of Surgery at The Center of Excellence for Laparoendoscopic and Minimally Invasive Surgery.

Perez-Dickens earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami, specializing in finance and legal implications, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida. She is certified by the American College of Medical Practice Executives and is a member of the Medical Group Management Association, Neurosurgery Executives and American College of Healthcare Executives.
