The European medical imaging market could top $5.6 billion by 2017, according to a TriMark Publications report released last week.
Ultrasound is the biggest segment of a market that includes MR, PET, SPECT and CT imaging, accounting for $1.4 billion of the $4.1 billion spent on advertising and manufacturing equipment by European countries last year, TriMark said.
Germany's imaging market, the largest in Europe, is expected to reach $1.3 billion in the next six years, according to the report, "European Medical Imaging Markets."
