TVM Capital Healthcare has partnered with Siemens Healthineers to improve access to care in Southeast Asia.
Siemens Healthineers is providing consulting services and operational guidance to Southeast Asian companies owned by private equity firm TVM Capital Healthcare to expand their capabilities and accelerate access to quality care for patients.

The two companies announced their value partnership model at the inaugural TVM Healthcare Institute event in Singapore in September.

Among the services that Siemens will provide is healthcare strategizing and the development of “Centers of Excellence” in oncology, cardiology, neurology and other key areas. It will also offer its expertise for digitizing operations and optimizing business processes.

"There is a lot of work to do to grow a sustainable healthcare infrastructure in SEA, and provide access to affordable and quality care. By combining our experience as a dedicated emerging markets healthcare investor/operator, with Siemens Healthineers' global expertise in healthcare technology and operations and large local teams with experience on the ground in countries like Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines, we will be in a unique position to do exactly that,” said Hoda Abou-Jamra, founding partner of TVM Capital Healthcare and managing director of its Southeast Asian operations, in a statement.

TVM Capital Healthcare is headquartered in Singapore and Dubai and focuses on localizing manufacturing and eliminating medical supply chain risks. It has invested interest in ex-hospital care, highly specialized clinics and clinic chains for oncology, cardiology, diagnostics and imaging, long-term care, post-acute care, rehabilitation, home care and disease management.

Siemens will help these companies source technologies that improve care access and enhance the quality and sustainability of their services.

It will facilitate strategy development and the creation of “Centers for Excellence” through its Consulting Hub in Singapore. The hub is part of its global network of other hubs scattered throughout the U.S., Europe and Singapore.

It also will educate and provide management feedback to local entrepreneurs for developing greenfield hospitals and clinical centers of excellence; optimizing and digitizing operations; and accessing up-to-date diagnostic imaging, in-vitro diagnostics, therapy and digital health solutions.

“The strategic collaboration with TVM Capital Healthcare will enable local healthcare entrepreneurs to have access to the capital needed for them to drive growth, supported with relevant technical, clinical and managerial knowledge and the latest medical technologies from Siemens Healthineers,” said Fabrice Leguet, president and managing director of Southeast Asia at Siemens Healthineers.
