PACS provider IMAGE Information Systems offers a new version of iQ-WEB with LDAP integration to facilitate user management
Many users, high fluctuation and a variety of software each requiring their own secure authentication – these are only some of the challenges of modern user management. Maintaining and administrating all user credentials, including activation and deactivation, leads to a high user administration work load. For the user, unique and complex passwords are difficult to remember and valuable time may be wasted before entering the correct one. This is where LDAP comes into play. The Lightweight Directory Access Protocol allows for central user management by accessing and maintaining distributed directory information services over an Internet Protocol (IP) network. The iQ-WEB version 6.7.3 - recently released - has an LDAP interface via Active Directory by default. Users benefit from having to remember just one password and the administrator only needs to maintain a single user management system e.g. for HIS, RIS, PACS and other clinical information systems.

iQ-WEB is a complete, easy-to-use and affordable PACS for storing, distributing and viewing of medical imaging studies and reports.
