LEXINGTON, KY— In recent months, healthcare supply chain leaders have faced historic challenges amid the COVID-19 pandemic. We’ve witnessed these key leaders collaborate and innovate in once unimaginable ways. No supply chain, healthcare or otherwise, has ever managed a global crisis of this magnitude. Yet, frontline supply chain leaders did a phenomenal job, taking this challenge head-on and working diligently to maintain supply chain continuity.

The IDN Summit is kicking off this effort with the I am the Healthcare Supply Chain campaign. This campaign highlights the vital contributions healthcare supply chain leaders make to the delivery of healthcare in America.

Additionally, the IDN Summit is publishing a new research report, Value of a Chief Supply Chain Officer. This report will highlight the true impact of the supply chain on IDNs finances and patient care.

The IDN Summit has supported healthcare supply chain leaders for over two decades through unique, content-driven events. We recognize the importance of in-person events to the healthcare industry for peer-led continuing education and product sourcing opportunities. As a strong supporter of the healthcare industry, the IDN Summit strives for an effective, yet safe solution during this challenging time.

The IDN Summit is fortunate to have August dates, which gives us more time to respond and adapt. June and July are simply too soon to consider gathering together, even with the most stringent safety measures.

With three months until the 2020 Fall IDN Summit, the team is preparing for all potential outcomes. We will be hosting a hybrid event with options for in-person and virtual attendance, with further guidance concerning the in-person event available July 1.

In conjunction with the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa, we strive to ensure the best public health practices are being exercised as we employ stringent cleaning and safety practices. Due to current federal guidelines on social distancing, revised capacity limits have been put in place for the in-person event in Phoenix. Due to these capacity limits, supplier registrations for the 2020 Fall IDN Summit are now being taken on a wait-list basis. Other enhancements include:

Including longer breaks between sessions for cleaning purposes
Increase the size of and distance between expo booths
Offering a wellness attendant on-site to focus on attendee safety
