WIXOM, Mich., July 9, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- HNC Virtual Solutions, a software telemedicine solutions company, has created a unique web-based radiology application that can be used on any device, anywhere.

HNC Virtual Solutions' new, web-based radiology application enables doctors to view, edit, and share DICOM images from a number of different modalities through any platform (Windows, Android, iOS) without the need to install any software. Traditionally, radiology applications require third party software to be installed onto a computer in order to view DICOM images.

"Utilizing our recently-acquired Sylaps video technology, doctors involved in a collaborative session will be able to add and edit DICOM images in real time," said Julian Shaya, executive vice president of HNC. "Additionally, this platform will also act as a traditional video conference."

Apart from the innovative real-time communication and collaboration feature, this new application allows for numerous functionalities including screen sharing, screen recording, messaging, and authentication. All of these sharing and interactive functionalities are not available with traditional radiology applications.

HNC's application allows the doctor to load the image directly from any cloud-based or local source, such as a file folder, CD, laptop, USB flash drive, or any other external device. Once loaded to the platform, this case study can then be directly shared to anyone in the world without the need to first upload it to a server or cloud.

"HNC's innovative imaging platform removes traditional technological barriers and allows for timely collaboration between doctors to help create better outcomes for patients," said Brian Bookmeier, VP of corporate development at HNC. "Doctors can now work with each other in real-time and where results used to take hours or days, only takes minutes."
