Absolute Imaging Solutions acquires
Northeast Electronics
Absolute Imaging Solutions (AIS), a subsidiary of TTG Healthcare, has acquired Northeast Electronics (NE), expanding its presence into the New England area.

The deal is expected to help launch the nuclear medicine equipment service and sales provider into the east coast market, with a combined total of approximately 30 field service engineers from both companies.

“With aging SPECT systems for which OEM’s no longer provide service or parts, Northeast Electronics has become a critical player in parts repair,” John R. Tomayko, CEO and president of TTG Healthcare, told HCB News. “By being able to repair faulty parts, we ensure inventory availability without relying on outside parts providers.”

The acquisition follows that of AIS by TTG Healthcare in April. In addition to merging its TTG Equipment Services with AIS, TTG Healthcare consolidated its Cardiologic, Omni Diagnostics, and TTG Diagnostic Solutions imaging subsidiaries into its Cardiac Imaging Solutions unit to build upon its ability to provide comprehensive and customized imaging services, equipment maintenance, new and refurbished camera sales, radiopharmaceuticals, and clinical staffing.

In addition to an experienced field service engineer staff, NE offers a large inventory of nuclear cameras and parts, as well as a long-term customer base built up from years in the business. Tomayko says that AIS is capable of furthering the use and expertise of these resources.

“AIS is able to provide a structured training program that has been in place and proven successful for years. This training will allow Northeast to expand to new modalities, specifically PET as well as newer SPECT systems, they have not been able to service in the past,” he said. “Additionally, AIS brings the experience of being an ISO 9001/13485 service company, ensuring that the processes and controls are in place to grow partnerships with other OEMs and service providers.”
