Daniel 'Skip' Person in Memoriam

by Philip F. Jacobus, CEO | January 23, 2019
Daniel 'Skip' Person and his wife Lona
Skip Person passed away December 20, 2018. Skip was 61 years old.

Over the years, I have always enjoyed meeting Skip at various trade shows. He has been in the imaging business for 23 years. He started in 1995 working for C&G Technologies and joined Wayne Kramer at W7 Global in 2015.

It seems as though Skip was always in a good mood, he always had something nice to say, he always made you feel good about yourself and knew how to cheer you up.

I reached out to Wayne Kramer, the CEO at W7 and Wayne confirmed what a wonderful fellow Daniel was. He was married for 16 years to Lona and according to Wayne, they had a wonderful marriage.

He was very close with his sister Carmel and his brother, Kevin. He loved his daughters Courtney and Stacy.

Like so many businesses, W7 is a family affair and Dan's step daughter, Kaly, is married to Wayne.

Daniel was also survived by five grandchildren, who knew him as 'Pop Pop' and he loved spending time, telling stories and enjoying a meal with them.

My biggest impression about Daniel is that he really cared. I remembered once visiting with him at a show and he commented on how lucky we are, to be in the field we are in where we are helping people to live a better, longer life and we are getting paid to do it.

I am sure that everyone who has come into contact with Daniel will miss him.
