Plano, Texas: medQ, Inc. and Availity announced an agreement to provide Availity Patient Access and AuthPal services through the Q/ris 3000 workflow suite of products. With this integration, Q/ris 3000 will quickly process physician orders, obtain prior authorizations, and verify insurance for all diagnostic imaging procedures. In addition, the Q/ris 3000 integrated app will also calculate how much patients will owe for that exam to ensure they are aware of their financial obligations prior to arrival for the procedure.

"By working with Availity, medQ will be able to improve our imaging center customers’ ability to collect the amount due prior to the exam to significantly improve cash flow and reduce bad debt. The application with Availity will be fully integrated into the Q/ris 3000 front end ordering module as well as available through our web based physician’s portal,” said John F. Norman, CEO at medQ.

This is a next step in providing a unique, fully featured, and integrated workflow solution that adds increased value to revenue cycle management. This new application is now available in the current Q/ris 3000.
