DENVER, Oct. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Clarius Mobile Health is introducing the EC7 Endocavity Ultrasound Scanner, a wide-band microconvex array, to improve the gynecologic and urological procedure workflow. Like previous Clarius scanners, the EC7 provides advantages such as wireless operation, compatibility with both Android™ and iOS®, and free cloud storage. Specialty pre-set applications for IVF, obstetrics, and pelvic examinations allow for crystal-clear images through a simple app interface.

"We are continuing to expand our product lineup by introducing the world's first high-resolution wireless endocavity ultrasound," said Kris Dickie, Vice President of Research and Development at Clarius. The EC7 features up to 60 minutes of scan time on a single battery and is designed with a sturdy and IP67-rated waterproof case that is compatible with most standard cleaning and sterilization products already on the market.

The new scanner has regulatory clearance in the US, Canada and Europe and is pending approval in other countries.

"The EC7 is an ideal option for reproductive, urology, obstetrics and gynecology clinics, helping save space and costs. It allows for patients at multiple locations to be scanned without moving around large equipment. The device is also compatible with biopsy guides for egg retrieval procedures, and has integrated follicle measurement and reporting tools, making it an exciting new piece of technology for the IVF world," said Kris Dickie.

All Clarius devices prioritize workflow and image quality, with features such as adaptive image optimization and the use of 192 elements and four parallel beamformers. Advanced modes such as color and pulsed-wave Doppler are available on all models.
