Bio-Rad and Siemens Join in Lab Test Effort

Hercules, CA and Tarrytown, NY - Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. (AMEX: BIO and BIOb), a multinational manufacturer and distributor of life science research and clinical diagnostics products, and Siemens Medical Solutions Diagnostics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc., announce a joint marketing agreement under which Bio-Rad will provide its quality control products and Unity™ QC data management solutions for use on Siemens Diagnostics' ADVIA® Chemistry and ADVIA Centaur® Immunoassay Systems. The combination of the quality control products and data management solutions will help ensure Siemens Diagnostics customers of the reliability and precision of their clinical laboratory test systems.

The Unity products offer varying levels of QC data management functionality ranging from basic QC data submission and participation in significant worldwide peer groups to advanced QC data management and analysis and reports in real time, providing laboratories with increased confidence in their test systems and proficiency survey outcomes.
