The end of the year always rushes up and RSNA makes such a big impact. I noticed that when I was writing my blog for this week. Normally, I talk about the
new issue of HealthCare Business News the same week it hits the mail.
With December though, it is always a different story. There is so much excitement generated from RSNA and so much to share, that it takes some time before I can share the latest about our magazine. I am fixing that now though and taking this time to tell you a bit about the issue.
First, the December issue with its theme of "Emergency/ICU" has some compelling stories to share. We do, in fact, tackle both those topics and you can read the article on the ICU
here and the ED article
here.
Second, in the past, our December issue was themed as the transport issue. We held on to the tradition somewhat with our annual
Transport Logistics article. In this case, DOTmed reporter Gus Iversen visited the UPS headquarters to see how the company manages to move such a large volume of packages and to get a firsthand look at the way they manage the medical side of their business.
We also covered
Urban and Rural Health. Each type of market has its own unique challenges and they are covered in the article.
Finally, we have again honored the
"best of the year," highlighting top associations and the individuals they have recognized with awards.
